From an appearance at the Grammys to a did-they-or-didn’t-they?, made-for-TMZ Vegas-style wedding, Travis Barker has had a busy week—and it’s only Thursday. It’s also the day his Barker Wellness brand is launching its very first Bath Soak ($25), a blend of CBD, CBC, lavender, bergamot, and hibiscus, that Barker himself says “will calm the senses.” While he asked to skip our pressing question on what Kourtney Kardashian and he share self care–wise, he did dish on everything else he’s currently doing for his overall well-being.
Why this launch and what do you think makes it different than the average bath bomb?
“The Barker Wellness brand has received a lot of great feedback and I’m so humbled. Because of this, I wanted to create new products within the line which is what led me to the Bath Soak. The cannabinoids we use have different properties that can help your skin like fighting inflammation and reducing redness. We’re keeping all of our products high-quality, vegan, and clean to really elevate our bath products within the wellness space.”
Do you regularly take baths and, if so, what is your routine like?
“Personally, I love baths. I find them relaxing both mentally and physically. I think it’s important to take time for yourself and just be with your thoughts—baths are the perfect moment to do this.”
What else do you do for wellness?
“As a working and traveling musician for so many years, it’s more important now than ever for me to stay on top of my health and commit to a healthy exercise, sleep and diet. It’s important for me to try and keep things pretty consistent as that seems to work best for me. Fitness is also a big part of my wellness and self-care routine. First thing I do when I wake up in the morning is exercise. Sometimes, I run and sometimes I do different things with my trainer, like strength training, cardio or boxing.
I also use a lot of the Barker Wellness product. For example, before bed I take the Sleep Tincture straight. It helps me mentally unwind and relax—the combo of melatonin and CBN has become really important to my sleep routine. I also like taking the Recovery Tincture as well as it helps me physically recover for whatever I’m doing the next day.”
